About Schultz Farm and Millworks

The Schultz Farm and Millworks story began in 2017 in Cheney, WA on 12 treed and rocky acres.  Scott Schultz, who was a professional chef at the time, was inspired to begin growing fresh, beautiful food for his family and he started his first large scale organic garden. Soon chickens were brought to the farm (most of which were named Sally by then 5-year-old Oliver) to provide eggs and enrich the compost. Five goats joined the team to help with wildfire suppression efforts and to add more joy to the farm.

In the winter months, Scott, needing more creative endeavors to keep him busy when the farm was covered with snow, connected with a local arborist to rescue beautiful hardwood varieties from the woodchipper and began milling the wood to create beautiful home goods.

With Scott’s fresh veggies and woodworks and Ana’s stitched blankets, buntings and beeswax candles, the Schultz’s hosted a farm sale with great success. Scott brought his wares to community farmers markets the next year and the family was able to see that they had created something people loved. Sustainable goods made with care, intention, and integrity.

The Schultz Farm and Millworks next chapter begins with partnerships with brother-in-law Mark Huck and the magical town of Seabrook. Big dreams brought the family West to bring regenerative farm practices to the beach community of Seabrook. Scott is currently readying the land for a new farm that will serve the Seabrook community and provide opportunities for public visits and interaction with the farm and surrounding landscape.

Stay tuned to see Farmer Scott’s dream farm come to fruition!

Regenerative Farm Practices

It begins with the soil and ends up in your body. Each step of our farming is carefully designed to bring health and sustainability to the soil, the plants growing in it, the animals growing on it, and a healthy return to the soil ... again and again.

It's regenerative. It looks toward future generations and their needs while giving the current generation a healthy diet and environment. We all prosper.
